As a “Health Promoting School” St John’s aims to promote the health and well being of all its members by providing a physical and emotional environment that promotes learning and healthy life style choices.
PSHE and Citizenship is taught weekly as part of the curriculum using the Cambridgeshire scheme of work merged with the SEALS programme. Circle times and drama are used to help children express and understand their emotions.
St John’s has an active and enthusiastic School Council which meets regularly and gives children a strong voice in the life of the school.
They help to organise many activities each year including raising money for Children in Need and St John’s “Health Week.”
During “Health Week 2006” the whole school was involved in World Cup Sporting Challenge as well as a dance day and exciting healthy eating activities.
