It's time to have a bit of a clear-out again as there's another clothing collection coming up.  Please bring your unwanted clothes, paired shoes, handbags, blankets, sheets, curtains and soft toys to school by Monday 29th September.  Your donations will raise funds for the school and help clothe people in developing countries.

St.John's has signed up to an exciting way of recycling and boosting the school budget at the same time.  There is now a large cardboard box in the school main entrance for empty ink cartridges and old mobile phones.  Items collected will be forwarded to a company called Recycool who will in return send us a donation and also plant a tree on our behalf!  If you'd like to find out more about Recycool, please click here.

www.lovereading4schools.co.uk is an excellent website, which helps parents to choose suitable books for their children.  There are recommended reading lists for different age groups, you can find out more about the author and even download a free opening extract of many of the books listed.  Parents can purchase the books on line if they wish to or just use the site for ideas.  All the books are available with a 25% discount if bought on line and the school will also receive 5% of the sales in book vouchers.
