Sport Relief 2018

We had a brilliant day on Friday 23rd March – fundraising for this year’s Sport Relief.  The school was filled with ballerinas, footballers and Kung Fu experts as we dressed up as sports people.  At breaktime the long-awaited staff netball match took place and the children loved cheering on their teachers. We were very fortunate to have Janette Bowden, (Cambridge Netball Development Officer) who has been in school this month teaching netball skills to the children during PE, to referee the match.  Congratulations to the winning team (there’s already talk of a re-match!).  The Food Council produced some tasty fruit smoothies as refreshments and they were very popular.

At lunchtime, there were sporty challenges to take part in using the trim trail, hula hoops and skipping ropes.  Those who completed the activities in the quickest time received a certificate.

We look forward to announcing shortly, how much money was raised.  Thank you to everyone who showed their support!

Food survey

The Food Council met for the first time today and have been set the task to complete a survey on children’s snack habits in school.
We look forward to receiving the results which will help us form the next steps of providing healthy snack options at breaktime.
