Greek Day

On Friday 16th of March, the Year 5’s came in, ready to learn all about Ancient Greeks, and they were even dressed like them! The Year 5’s walked down into the hall as we learned all about the Gods and Goddesses, all the weapons, and we even got to do a Greek military practice. After going out for a short break, we got sorted into groups such as puzzle solving, Greek quizzes, and even a small Greek game.

After lunch, we were so lucky as to be able to do the Olympics, which originated in Greece. Soon after we were sorted into two groups, we had to throw hoops around a chair, and then the threw javelins (but don’t worry, they were fake) as far as we could. Finally, some students acted a short Greek story and the students went home after their fun day.
