What a super start we have had to 2020!

A message from Mrs Foster

It was an absolute pleasure to see children, parents and staff back in school this week - well rested, full of the Christmas and New Year joys, and genuinely pleased to be back at school! Our first week has been a huge success as the children are starting to unpick our new big curriculum question, 'In an ever changing world, how can the choices we make have an impact?'

We have begun by encouraging children to use and understand the language of choice, and by exploring what the world is. You can support at home with this too by making it clear to your children which choices they have (within adult boundaries of course!) and helping them to understand about different places in the country or wider world where you may have family or friends living.

You can also access this term's 'Knowledge Organiser' as well as the termly 'Curriculum Map' for each year group on the 'Year Pages' tab, to see both what they will be learning about, and the knowledge they will be acquiring.

Any pre-learning the children do at home on this will give them a great 'head start' to work in class! Please feel free to speak to class teachers if you would like any further information about the plans for the term ahead.

A warm welcome from us all.
