This half term, Year 4 have been exploring instructions in order to produce their own on 'How To Build An Anglo-Saxon Longship'.
This has involved unpicking the features, following instructions to make paper airplanes, etc. and understanding the importance of being accurate. In order to explore this, we made jam sandwiches in class... and thankfully after our first attempt (which involved jam and butter all over my hands) we understood the need for being explicit in instruction writing so that the reader can be successful.
