The Story of Us

Established in 1980, St John's Church School (with its first Headteacher,
Mr Anthony Chandler) has been a cornerstone of the Orton Goldhay community in Peterborough for over four decades.

Developed from the mid-1970s by the Peterborough Development Corporation, Orton Goldhay was designed as the city's second township, with a diverse socio-economic landscape. In 2015, the school entered a new phase, as the old building was demolished to make way for a new modern facility, to increase capacity to two-form entry. The building was designed to support a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Over the years, we continue to evolve, forming federations and partnerships with other local schools - Winyates Primary School, Barnack Primary School and Paston Ridings Primary School. Together we are called Spirit, this name inspires us to have fortitude and tenacity.

Join us as we continue our journey of excellence. Become part of our story as continue to grow and flourish!
