I’ve always wanted to be a teacher – even as a child, I loved helping others to learn and grow. After spending over ten years teaching in London, I decided it was time to come back to my hometown of Peterborough and bring all that experience with me.

There’s nothing better than seeing a child’s face light up when something clicks for the first time. One of my favourite things to do is read with the children – the Mog books never fail to raise a smile!

Teaching has always been a part of my life, from volunteering at my Grandma’s pre-school to working as an arts and crafts instructor at a summer camp. These experiences showed me how much I enjoy supporting children’s learning in creative ways. Alongside this, my love of history and science has fuelled my curiosity and passion for learning. Together, these influences inspired me to become a teacher—sharing my enthusiasm every day, helping students grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and develop a love of learning, all while knowing no two days are ever the same.

I was lucky enough to have many inspirational teachers growing up who encouraged me to aim high and always do my best. As a child, I had big aspirations, and those around me motivated me to keep striving forward. Their influence has shaped the teacher I am today, and I hope to be the same kind of role model for the children I teach. As a class teacher, I feel privileged to be part of each child’s journey, helping them to flourish, grow in confidence, and develop a love for learning. Building strong relationships is at the heart of my teaching, and I believe a positive and nurturing classroom enables every child to thrive. Most of all, I love making lasting memories with the children I teach. It’s a joy to inspire, encourage, and celebrate each child as they reach their full potential.
