Writer's picture: Simon HollingsworthSimon Hollingsworth

We have been given the amazing opportunity to participate in two music workshops for absolutely FREE. Children will learn how to use music and technology in different ways. Within KS1 this includes: how to explore relative pitch and sound quality through digital drawings, how to improve spelling, by transforming words into sounds, and construct rhythms by using phonics. Within KS2 this includes: learning about logical processes, troubleshooting, coding and design thinking. The musical learning includes pitch, rhythm, melodies/chords and even loops. The Visual aspects include basic design and animations. Sessions for Year 1 & 2 are on the 21st and 22nd January at 9am Sessions for Year 3 & 4 are on the 21st and 22nd January at 10am Sessions for Year 5 & 6 are on the 19th and 20th January at 10am. What you will need • Laptop or tablet (some things possible with phone) • Updated browser, Chrome or Edge • Headphones, if available • An external screen/tv or a second device, if you have it, but not strictly necessary.
