' Cor-dial It's amazing what our Elders can teach us :o) '

Elder is a very common bush of British hedgerow. According to my mum it is a very useful bush. She makes yummy cordial of it's white blossom. When she was a school girl in the Czech Republic, all the children had to pick and dry elder flowers.

They took them to school when dry and the school sent them to pharmaceutical company for making medicines.

At the late summer the bush is covered with black berries.

My great grandmother used to make other delicious drinks out of them.

She used it as a home medicine to level blood pressure. It raised low blood pressure and lowered high one. What a useful bush!
