STEM - Workshop

Writer: Simon HollingsworthSimon Hollingsworth

This term, Year 1 - 6 have had the opportunity to take part in a fully funded STEM workshop, where we have learnt: how to design a backdrop for a scene; build a robot out of rubbish and using these items to make a short motion picture.

On day 1

Year 1 and 5 had to design a back drop using various materials to make paint etc. In year 5, they were working with cooking materials to make different shades of colours before creating their backdrops.

Day 2

Year 2 and 6 created robots our of every day trach and a small electrical motor.

Day 3, Year 3 and 4 had to create a motion picture using the resources from the previous years.

On the final day, we all went online and shared our worj eith other schools across the country. To be honest, we were the best!

We would like to thank everyone who supported the project with resources and especially the children because without their creativity this would not have been possible.
