This week, the children attended a virtual author event with Matt Lucas hosted by the National Literacy Trust. They heard all about his new read-a-long music ‘The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas’ and the inspirations behind this new Christmas story.
The children had the opportunity to participate in some Christmassy polls based on the book, ask the author questions about himself and his writing journey and joined in with a sing-a-long to one of his songs.
All the children listened really well and enjoyed getting to learn about a new story and hear some top tips for writing from a published author.
