School Administration
I started working at St Johns in 2006 as the Finance Administrator and over the years my role has developed to encompass other areas within school.
From leaving school I worked in a bank for many years and then in the accounts department of a large motor company for a further 10 years before taking a break to bring up my children.
During this time I took on volunteer roles as Treasurer for my local Pre-school and the local Scout group. I continued in both of these roles long after my children had grown up and left.
Upon returning to work, I wanted to continue in the education field and was lucky enough to re-establish my career at Johns and I absolutely love it. Each day is different to the next and the staff and children make each day a pleasure to work here.

Leaving the army 26 years ago to raise my children, returning to a school environment seemed unlikely! My youngest daughter starting school meant I was free to start a whole new career. The variety and challenge of working in a school environment really appealed to me and has never failed to interest me. I love coming to work every day even after over 17 years! Every member of staff supports each other and works together to establish the best learning environment for all children. My role has changed over the years and is now primarily dealing with Admissions and Attendance. Every day is different and I particularly love the diversity of our school and seeing former pupils now returning with their children. I really can't imagine working anywhere else.
Mrs C Sutton
School Administrator
Having spent 25 years working in the Finance and Insurance sector I felt it was the right time for me to take a change of direction. When my children started school I always wanted to help out where possible and I played an active role on the PTA. Working closely with their school I saw what a wonderful workplace it was and the feeling it gives you. So when the opportunity came for me to join a team in a school office I knew I had to give it a go, knowing I could put to good use many of the skills I have developed in my career to date. I am already relishing my new role and couldn’t wish for a better environment and team to work with than what I have at St. John’s.
