Day trip to Stibbington

Writer's picture: Lucy KentLucy Kent
The children went to Stibbington to learn about renewable and non-renewable energy sources.

During the day, the children learnt about fossil fuels and the need to stop using them, as well as what other sources of energy we currently use. The children completed investigations about the reason why wind turbines have 3 sails and where best to place a solar panel (based on the position of the Sun). This learning will help the children when they design their own torches and consider how we might be able to use renewable energy within the school.
