On Monday, Year 4 began their residential adventure at Graham Water!
We arrived just after lunch and immediately began our journey of self discovery. In the afternoon we had the following activities:
🚣♂️ Power boating
⛵️ Sailing
🧗 Climbing
🏹 Archery
🧭 Pioneering
🏕️ Bush craft
What an full and exciting day we had! Next, we settled down for some hearty food and then it was time to sort our rooms.
This was our next adventure - and we definitely need to practise our bed-making skills, because putting on a quilt cover was a gruelling challenge that was beyond our reach during the initial stages! However, we persevered and got there in the end.
Our last activity of the day was the Graham Challenge which involved the children being blindfolded and following a rope, crawling and climbing, around a number of obstacles. Although the children were a little scared they all showed true courage and grit to get to the end. The sense of achievement for them was clear for all to see.
As we settled down to go to sleep the children were exhausted and there is much excitement about what tomorrow will bring!
