Our children have shared their voice, now you can share yours!

Last night, our Year 6 pupils presented at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) to share their big ideas for our local area. Check out the poem they wrote and presented—a powerful call for a vibrant youth club, spaces to grow, and a brighter future for young people in Orton.  Other ideas included: a community cafe and garden and improvements to Peanut Park 💡

Through the Government-funded Pride in Place programme, Orton Malborne and Orton Goldhay have been allocated £20 million (£2 million every year for the next 10 years). Best of all, local residents get to decide how every penny is spent.

Our children have made their voices heard—now it’s your turn! Time is running out to complete the community survey and vote for improvements that matter most to your family.

Hey Orton! Are You Ready?

We've got dreams, we've got plans,

All we need is a helping hand!

There's a generation ready to fly,

With hopes in their hearts and stars in their eyes.

Give us a place where we can belong,

Where we can be ourselves and grow strong.

Pizza on Fridays, games to play,

New friends to make at the end of the day.

Sport, music, laughter, a place to belong,

Together as one, we can all be strong!

Less time on the streets, more chances to grow,

Give us the future we deserve to know!

Every young voice, every dream, every heart,

Give our community a brand-new start!

Give us a place to shine,

Invest in our future, give us your time!

Raise up our voices, let our dreams come true,

Orton needs a youth club, and we're counting on you!

Hey!Hey! Let's Make It Happen!

Hey! Hey! Put our future in action!

Together we're stronger, together we're one,

Fund our youth centre —

let'

s get this done!
