Wednesday 8th December, some Year 3 children were given the exciting opportunity of attending a sports taster afternoon at Ormiston Bushfield Academy.
The children got the chance to learn about new sports and the basic skills you need to participate. The children learnt how to play basketball, showcasing their current knowledge well with the chest and bounce pass. The children also did some dribbling with the ball being taught the correct technique and at the end got the chance to play a small sided game applying all the skills.
Finally, the children then experienced some volleyball, learning the basic shot techniques and working as a team to keep the ball in the air without it bouncing more than once. Then after this, the children took part in a simple volleyball game against the other teams. Well done to all the children that took part, you are a credit to the school.
